Some of our favorite custom projects don’t start with a new diamond or a blank page. They start with what you already have.

For this piece, our client brought us older jewelry and materials that had been worn down over time. The sentimental value was still very much there, but the pieces themselves weren’t being worn anymore. Instead of letting them spend another few decades tucked away in a jewelry box, we used those materials to create something entirely new.

We reimagined them into this ruby and diamond cigar band — substantial, a little imperfect, and designed to feel like an heirloom from day one. The oval ruby became the center of the design, surrounded by the client's diamonds and set into a wide gold band with an intentionally old-world feel.

This is one of our favorite parts of custom jewelry: an heirloom doesn't have to stay exactly as it was to keep what it means. Stones can be reset. Gold can be reworked. A piece that belonged to another time, another person, or another version of you can become something you'll actually wear now.

The history stays. We just give it somewhere new to live.
